Project:
The existing bridge V 34 at km 12,635 of the Motorway A14 Rheintal/Walgau had to be dismantled and replaced by an earth dam, while maintaining traffic during construction.
The length of the bridge was approx. 40 m with spans of approx. 7 m and 25 m. The width was approx. 32 m. The bridge was based on a flat foundation.
The underground is characterized by following homogeneous areas. Artificial embankment with a thickness of up to 5 m at the surface. Followed by a clay peat layer with a thickness of up to 4 m. Underneath the clay-peat layer, there are fluvial deposits up to the final depth of the exploration.
