Obervermunt Power Plant

Obervermuntwerk II will be the second largest power plant of the „Vorarlberger Illwerke AG“. OVW II covers the construction of a cavern generating plant with significant buildings.

Project:

The pumped storage hydro power plant Obervermuntwerk II (OVW II) is supposed to continue the success story of Kopswerk II as supplier for peak load and regular energy.

The intention of this project is the supply of energy for additional energy and appropriate capacity for temporary storage of electricity. The OVW II is situated above 1800 m sea level in the Silvretta Mountains between lake Vermunt and lake Silvretta at Bielerhöhe.

Services of 3G:

Construction supervision for the area of tunnelling and concrete construction above and under ground as well as grouting measures.

Location: Gaschurn – Partenen – Bielerhöhe, Silvretta (Montafon), Vorarlberg, Austria
